It’s not often in life that you are granted with an experience that whirls you around and turns you upside down, however this is a story just about that. Little Paris as some may know it, Budapest to those like Michael Jackson or Robbie Williams, Bucharest is not a city to confuse with others.
Second biggest building in the world-check! Art Noveau features in architecture-check!, and one slightly questionable, but entertaining sculpture-check and check! (And yes, I am talking about you-Troian with the wolf.
If you’re in the city for an unforgettable tour make sure to look for Vlad from the “FreeWalking tours”. He will not only lead you through the nooks and crannies of the city, but also serve as an outstanding comedian. The entertaining tour also gave us a glimpse into the history of Bucharest, taught us about the similarities with Baltic States, about the time under Soviet Union and many, many other fun facts.
But none of this would happen without the lovely ladies and organization of Monomyths, and our project “Communication tools for NGO’s and Start Ups”, communication being the word that plays the biggest part in this project.
As open-minded youngsters, it is not only a pleasure to learn new and innovative ways of social media and how to use it for your start-up, but also just to meet people from different backgrounds and nationalities from all over the world. Not only did we get to share our passions and skills with each other during the first day, or present ourselves to each other on the second day, but also the do’s and don’ts of branding, how to build your own brand from scratch, and most importantly we got to polish our communication skills to perfection. This experience allowed us to find our elements, be social when searching for an interviewee, make videos, learn from each other, and most importantly look into ourselves.
We got to present our countries, their national foods, share our dreams experiences, while still learning in a fun and creative way. All in all, this is truly an indescribable, once in a lifetime experience that you can only obtain on a project like this. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts from Latvia.
